I was considering to get the Navicore SW, but it is expensive for what it delivers. For about 180 EUR I can get a Loox-N100 which is a really neat GPS navigation device, weight is just 110g and much smaller than the N800. It has maps for the whole of Europe and also a TMC device (traffic control). This is so nice and small, that I can even take it on walks or on cycle tours. It also has a MP3 player.
I believe this solution is much slicker and even cheaper.
