Sorry for your problem, but it looks like there are good suggestions for you. I had similar problems when living in Russia, but I found a reshipping firm that would allow me to pretend I lived in the US. It worked fine until the company went out of business and I lost the last shipment.

These kinds of problems are not unusual and are not limited to Nokia. Various legal and commercial agreements get worked out over the years, many of them messy and non-optimal.

It's another argument for a one-world government!
