Airport is a 2D game on the Ovi store and almost certainly doesn't use the 3D hardware.
Agree with the original OP that there are a lack of 3D games (or games in general
or
apps) but this thread will not change that. A predicate to good professional grade content on the N900 is a functioning software store so that developers can be paid. There is only so much FOSS can provide for platforms like the N900. A paid app environment doesn't exist at the moment, but I have hopes it will soon. In my opinion though this is too late for the N900 platform, but future handsets will be covered.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
