I doubt porting gnugo is any work at all, probably you could just take a debian package as it is, optify it and it will work. But gnugo itself has no GUI, so it's only of limited use on the N900...

What I would be interested in is a good go playing GUI application. Has anyone looked into porting qGo? Shouldn't be too hard, since it's QT. I tried qGo2 myself in scratchbox, and it compiles without problems as it is, but it's pretty unusable on the small screen. The GUI has to be completely redesigned.

Once we have a working go GUI, I'll volunteer to port gnugo

EDIT: There is goban770 in extras-devel, but that's just an SGF editor, not a go playing software.
