The same thing happened to me as well. There is a simple workaround, which consists in completely deleting your Skype account and recreating one. The procedure goes as follows: - Open an X terminal - Type the following command: rm -rf .Skype - Exit the X terminal - Go to Settings, and recreate a Skype account. Hope this helps.
