Well if you are going to do a complete wipe, you should not have any problems. The installer is really easy to use but the partitioning might be a small hassle if not doing a complete wipe and you don't have any prior experience. Remember that by default ubuntu uses a different filesystem such as ext4. If you have more than one drive at the moment (eg C: and D: harddrive partitions) check ubuntuforums for more info as unix OS's have a different structure for partitions.
