Hello
I am planning to submit my proposal of a Quran application for maemo based on Qt to GSoC 2010.
The idea is to get a complete fully-featured Quran application, with support for search, bookmarks, translations and recitations (online and offline). I'm also open for any new suggestions/features
This is much like the open-source Java project
Zekr
, but with a better support for recitations and a finger-friendly GUI.
I'm planning to use Qt and C++ for this purpose, I have already done desktop development with it, and I'm pretty confident that I can get all the mentioned features implemented within the GSoC 2010 period.
I know that Noor got ported to Maemo, but I'm targeting to create a better featured application, again with a good recitations support being my main goal.
I'm open to your comments/suggestions/questions.
