For the author of this thread, I simply wanted to mention a solution i discovered when this happened to me.
wap was the old style dial up for mobile phone, i think GPRS is the protocol used to connect @ 3.5G speed but term is stilled used.

wap term is used because it represents mobile internet

i might be wrong.
