There are a ton of N900 owners on the Free/Open Source microblogging site Identi.ca (There's also groups for N900, Maemo, and Meego), so if you could set up the same accounts there, that would be great.

Identi.ca's API is compatible with Twitter's, and you can set Identi.ca to automatically crosspost everything to a corresponding Twitter account instantly.
