Who moderates the moderators?

I have noticed posts from moderators that were outrageously impolite and in some cases, implied obscenities.

It appears that they are given free reign. I have specifically requested (by posting a message to that effect) that they be controlled, and have seen no sign that anything has been done to control them.

Moderators are human too, and just like the rest of us, sometimes they need to be cooled out.
