i personally think the 800mhz or 900mhz is safest depending on what you use your n900 for if you need the extra power great but i would think that 900mhz setting would be more the adequote for most users if not all users

for the gains you get from the 930mhz compared to the 900mhz and the idle speeds of the two id stick with the 900mhz :-)

I agree, posted my experience before and its kinda same as yours ... Returned to 900 from 930 ... Will test 1025mHz though ...
