It is same as 2006 and similar to 2007 on n800 (i.e. the usb storage fix).

Do what you want but the system will be slightly confused without first partition being FAT so you need some custom hacking to fix this. It is easier to have it. You can put swapfile there at least.

BTW consider searching this forum before posting, both questions were already asked (and answered) few times.

Then read the README.txt inside initfs_flasher.tgz

Personally I use VFAT + three ext3 partitions (2006,2007HE, temporary one for sardine or other experiments)

Or search this forum, people did it before. In fact I think all possible questions related to booting from mmc were already asked (and answered) few times here in this forum :-)
