It would be interesting to see what users would do if there was a report of brickage at 900 or 800mhz. Then what do we do? Risk it or go back to the slower kernel? I am sure there will still be people who will keep running the higher clock speeds at the expense of bricking.
But that would be a very tough decision after experiencing great increase in speed....
