Not necessarely, if its just to trim / cut audio, it could be as simple as loading an mp3/wav, and inputting start and end times, and then execute by pressing the "trim" button, about as basic as it can get really. (I think)
But more features are always more favourable lol. Not saying were looking for a sound forge clone on the N900, but anything extra is always a bonus
