Probably largely true, but even girls & guys who are technologically sophisticated might have a need set that lines up well with an iPhone. Also, people who are technologically sophisticated don't always want to be able to hack their phones. They might think that they spend enough of their lives hacking with technology & they want their phone to "just work". I know several bright people who meet this description.

(As for myself, I will never own an iWhatever b/c I refuse to fall for Apple's vendor lock-in strategies. Freedom!)
