ok, I found a workaround for the 600Mhz problem with the telephone app that works for me.
my workaround basically ignores all requests to set 600Mhz in the kernel.
if you want 600Mhz you would specify 599MHz or something smaller.
as soon as the same works for the minimum (125MHz) I'm going to upload a new kernel...
