I was able to read the contents of the SD card today by hooking my n800 up to my computer (Slackware) via USB.

However, when I sync, unmount, and disconnect the USB cable, the USB icon REMAINS on the N800, and as such I am of course unable to access the card from the N800 itself.

ideas?
