I had the same problem. I reflashed my OS back to the factory settings.
You can reformat the card using the on-board command. You can find the format command by opening File Manager, and then pulling down the menu and finding Memory Card. Just make sure that you disable the virtual memory on the card first, as that would prevent you from being able to format it.
