@giannoug - Five months ago if I'd have known about the app and platform situation as it is now, my purchasing decision might have been different. Probably true for many other users.

I guess with 'Nokia' you assume that even if it is a new development the systems will be in place to provide for you. The N900 just seems to be one of those devices that has no recognition outside of these forums.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
