I think alot of the points the orginal op raised are valid. The bottom line is that alot of people are frustrated at the lack of support and development for the N900 by Nokia. Whilst internal Nokians suggest otherwise, most of us feel that Nokia have really let the consumer down with lack of public support for the device.
For most of us, the problem isnt the N900. The phone is impressive once out the box. Its probably the most advanced device ever made by Nokia.
However, the main problem is frustration and lack of patience. People are frustrated because nothing new has been released by Nokia direct within months. The whole Meego transition only adds to more confusion and frustration as N900 owners believe Nokia have switched focus and left the device as a door stop.
Patience is a virtue, but even Jesus would admit waiting for Nokia is like waiting for paint to dry. We all believe in this device and its potential, but not willing to wait a lifetime whilst Nokia's competitors release new and improved Smartphones.
Most of us just want some cool games, apps, content, widgets etc like the modern trendy consumer. We done our research, we never expected an Iphone but something similiar to the N97 at least.
I'm also tired of people saying the N900 wasn't targeted at everyone and that its an internet tablet. I challenge you to take a look at the orginal N900 marketing video thats pre-installed on your device and come to a conclusion on who Nokia are targeting lol.
In anycase i like my N900, im hoping Nokia fix up because i've got another 14months left on my contract.
14 months is enough time for Nokia to evolve the N900 right?
PM me in 14 months
