Thanks for your explanation as well chemist but linuxeventually has enlightened me with some actual commands and what they mean, what they do etc. I'm fine with a DOS prompt but brand-spanking-shiny-new to linux and this CLI, and his was ceratinly helpful, hence the thanks...
