I used this (Leafpad to edit the file) to modify incoming email notification to very short vibration while sms still have two vibs:

-open x-terminal app
-type 'sudo gainroot' [enter] then 'mc'
-edit the file "etc/mce/mce.ini"
-down the bottom of file is the area you need to be..
-just read the file and its self explaining...
-its as simple as changing setting to 'b' (to change notification to blue)
-save file, exit mc and reboot.
