Its not real host mode, but there is a way to connect a USB camera to the N800. If your camera looks like a USB storage device to a computer you can use a device called a "USB Bridge". These have two type A connectors, one labled source the other destination. Hook the camera up to source and the N800 to destination. Then push the "Copy" button. Everything on the camera gets copied to the N800.

I've found two on the market, one by Belkin, one by Delkin (guess whos a rip off of whom). They are both in the $25 to $30 range, but a bit larger than I would expect.

You can also use these to copy a USB flash drive (thumb drive) to the N800 or any other USB storage device. Just be aware it copies EVERYTHING on the USB device from the root on down, to the root of the N800 flash card.
