That's the beauty of it..it installs everything on it's own. I think it does anyway..It was a while since I installed it. But I remember that it wasn't difficult. You can also use Abiword for word processing.

Be aware that although OpenOffice works on the N900, it was never designed for it. So it will be a little jerky using it, but other than that it works well.
