I'm quite sure that every DSLR made after than Canon D30 took just as good or better quality images. If your DSLR is only 5 years old, there is no way it willl be worse than that Canon D30 pics and will be light years ahead of your N82 and N900. (what dslr model was it?)

I still have a 8MP Canon 20D I bought back in 2004. No digicams and phones can compare to it. However, micro four thirds format cameras are looking very good while being much smaller than standard ful frame or aps-c sformat dslr's. (sensor is still way too big to be used for phones and small digicams though)
