Its all centered on the hope for QT.

MeeGo will be entirely designed around QT and Maemo post-1.2 will have full QT support.

The issues that I want to see the answers for addressing are: MeeGo will use RPM packaging, vice Maemo's Deb; and then the hardware/platform differences for C apps will need compiling specifically to that hardware. The N900 is being used as the ARM device currently, so we'll see.

Anyway, at the most it might require a packager to convert a meego RPM to a Maemo DEB and upload it into Extras to get it working; at least - in theory (again) .
