I would like to know whether nokia 770 has voice navigation and is it free ?
Yes Maemo-Mapper supports voice navigation via an application called flite. It's ok, but very mechanical sounding.

How detailed are the maps ?
If using Mameo-Mapper as detailed as the map repository you decide to use. For example if you use google maps repository the maps are the exact same maps used in google maps; extremely detailed at high zoom levels.


Are gas station and other important landmarks shown ?
Maemo-Mapper supports POI (points of interest) which pretty much can include anything you wish.

Are maps preloaded the same way as the n95 ? You only download the maps you want ?
Maemo-Mapper downloads the maps you ask it to download.
