Did you have the 64-bit version of Firefox and flashplugin?

I also have another x86_64 machine where the bug doesn't manifest, but in this another it does every time:
cpu family : 15
model : 75
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+
stepping : 2
Everything else works w/o crashes in that machine so hardware failure is unlikely.
