Nope, there's no blacklisting, so you have to move the folders that you don't want scanned to a different place.

As somewhat of a photographer I got hundreds upon hundred of photos I would LOVE to be able to 'stream' to my tablet
Well you can do it already with very little changes, but I could make it work by default. But I doubt I'm going to change how it works now, I will keep it VLC based.

Yes. But you can do it from the client menu. That's why it's wise to add as many paths as possible so you don't have to rescan your whole collection every time. I haven't promoted latest diablo client to extras yet, so you need to get it from -devel if you want folder specific updating from client.

EDIT: I can do this when playing videos - but not when playing music.
It should work for both videos and music. I think dpad should change the mixer volume too.

Images are tied to individual items and only album tag should show the art in its values (album names). But not when browsing by path for example.

Knots is basically a web server. It stores everything (settings/info/images) into .config/knots2/knots.db. So by removing the .config directory inside knots folder you can revert to default settings again.

To get rid of it completely, you only need to delete the knots folder and the two menu items.

Knots only talks with the outside world when fetching lyrics/movie info/subtitles and if you use the remote discovery. It then updates your ip address every 6 hours to my public web server and uses that info to generate your sharing links and make sure your client can connect to your server without you having to know your public ip address.

So basically nothing will ever leave your machine unless you want to share it with people.
