This will change everything for our beloved N900. It will give us Shazam, it might give ppl things like separate Skype app (I love the integrated one), it will multiply the available apps for Maemo 5.
I'm sorry but what COULD change the device is actual support from developers. What I've seen so far is the usual Nokia lapdogs(Offscreen) + maybe Shazam. Bringing QT doesn't magically bring tons of great apps, there has to actually be some interest for the platforms from developers, and I really haven't seen anything so far to think something would actually change.

Second, there is a huge difference between preloading a firmware in the factory and making it available for seamless OTA update. (Update being the crucial one - like not destroying your existing data and apps, right?).
And yet they update only with these PR-updates instead of releasing the critical bugfixes(that have been ready for months) to the repositories. Could be a great thing, but isn't.

Also, people here seem to really thing PR1.2 is going to be something great which will change our N900. It really isn't. It's bugfixes and Qt(which MAY give us applications in several months time). That's it. No maps, no portrait etc. Nokia's focus has been elsewhere since the N900 was launched. It's been almost 6 months and we really haven't gotten anything new. Also the testing of PR1.2 seems to take months? If that's proper focus on N900 by Nokia, I really don't know if I should laugh or cry.
