I've spent some time doing searches for streaming video URLs that will work with the standard
Video player
application in
IT 2006.49-2
. There are some neat add-in programs like mplayer and ukmp, but I wondered where I could look for links to video streams that would work without any additional software. I'm going back to my search, and I'll post links here. If you would also post whatever else you find along these lines here, we can have a little reference list.

Note: The IT OS 2006 documentation lists the following as supported stream formats:
3GP/3GPP, AVI, MPE, MPEG, MPG, RA, RM, RMJ, RMVB, RV
I assume that the text from the manual about playing video files with the video player application also applies to streaming video: "The video player does not necessarily support all the variations of a file format."
