Many many threads on this forum are about problems created by the use of apps downloaded from this very forum so why? oh i am sure you all will have many explanations NOT to blame anyone on the bench huh. (dont bother).
The N900 will be short lived as Nokia will supercede it very fast mainly from the agro point of view and i really DO hope there is a complete overhaul of this community because to be honest it actually stinks with nastiness and foul mouthed people that should not be allowed to participate in any forum INCLUDING some moderators but there again this is their community so they have the right to do as they please dont they just !!!.
Ok i have far better things to do right now so i will step out for the rest of the day and let you lot carry on crushing everyone that even dares to agree with the update from China ha !.
*sigh*.

I don't understand abill_uk... I try and provide a full length explanation of the testing process here and you ignore me and go on a tirade about people "not listening".

I read your whole post; and I responded - WTH?

A Debate is both sides going back and forth with their opinion - not a "You're just not listening, Im leaving!"

I bolded something you said above because it's very key. People need to take responsibility for their actions abill_uk; You can't blame Microsoft that you downloaded screensaver.exe from a random website and got yourself infected with a virus! There is, on every single operating system, severe risks to installing unofficial software.

Why are you constantly trying to paint the picture that it is somehow our fault that users ignore warning signs? Actually, from what I've seen it's easier to get software (once you're a confirmed developer) into the Android Marketplace than it is here. Why? Because AFAIK - there is no "testing" market place; you just upload your fixes and then get all your comments flooded with bug reports.

This is like Suing a business because you slipped and broke your leg, right in front of a "wet floor" sign!

If you actually stick to the intended applications then you run very little risk to your phone or device.

Unfortunately - this phone or device doesn't do what you want it too; and so you venture into the more risky areas; and when you get bit - yell at us for it?

(note: I'm using "you" as a generalizations to the Maemo communities users.)
