I think the Nokia-provided "screen protector" is just of the flimsy types generally used to protect LCD screens until they get in the hands of the end user. There is a thread somewhere on this forum that discusses screen protectors and I believe one user told how he did use the original protector for quite some time before it finally wore-out.
