That's what a consumer expects when a product is purchased. We arent Beta users but we are kind of. We knew Maemo 6 was to come out in 2010/2011 and Maemo 5 was a stepping stone but if someone wants to know what happened to all the momentum around the device, an answer shouldnt be "you develop it".
Then how would you want it - like the Apple police. Not really bashing Apple, but it's pretty difficult to come up with an approval process that satisfies all. Here it all relies on users voting that the program is good enough (and stable enough) to be brought to the masses. To me that seems pretty good.
IMHO It would be better with a built in rating option, making it possible to promote an app directly from the N900.
