Hmm... Having owned a 6230i for about 5 years I can tell you it was one of the least strict phones Nokia ever made. It was coded to allow just about anything, and handled things way outside of the standards. The J2ME client was the same way, had all the APIs one could imagine in place, and ran things most could not, including some non-J2ME apps. (Though it did have pretty tight security, sandbox wise.)

So, it may not be the best test case, since really, those phones took almost anything and tried to make it work. Sigh... kinda miss the little bugger now, but not enough to give up the extra 680x360 pixels!
