That was certainly a circuitous route! In my case the Ctrl+Backspace
was NOT disabled so I could easily get to the FIX keyboard. As a guess, it might be something subtle with how you've redone the key mapping. Or perhaps this a manifestation of the "localization problem" qole mentioned as your keyboard is not US.
Anyways, for me, the FIX keyboard has not been useful so far. That
is not to say it may not come in handy as an option in the future. Btw, I've discovered a second "trick" that qole might want to include in the wiki. If all else fails, instead of tapping the power button once. Hold down that same button for a few seconds. Wait a little bit and then press it down again. Amazingly it fixes everything!
