being bored yesterday, i tried the most recent packages at that address. it still crashes now and then (not necessarily only when not started from cli) -- but not everytime and not that fast (if), as it used to do. i took care of using the navit.xml included with that package, to make sure no incompatibilities will cause troubles. so, with that packages, it's a great step forward -- and there's a dbg package available helping to get useful stacktraces when navit crashes. what's actually more interesting: who and how did he/she create those packages?
