as for mapping:
google maps is perfectly possible in the browser, latitude included. In the repositories (catalogues) you will find emerillon map viewer and maep, with google maps, OpenStreetMap, OpenCycle Map, Public transport, Virtual Earth, including satellite view.
And easypark for use in cities as a pedestrian. Map buddy is available, OSM2go, ecoach for managing sport activities, GPXview (and others) for geocaching. For recording your tracks (and geolocate your photos) there is GPS datalogger widget.
For perfect voice guided turn-by turn navigation, use Sygic mobile maps (paid).
For a free application, nokia maps 1 calculates your routes, without voice guidance, quite good.
