Is deep sleep the same as soft poweroff? I enabled the 'Reboot' and 'Soft Poweroff' options in my power menu per the instructions found here in the forums. I really like having those options, but I don't like having to hit the down key 4 times and then the center button to activate soft poweroff.

By the way, some more easy ways to save power besides the above mentioned:

1. Make sure your WLAN timeout is set very low, so it turns off quickly when not in use. It will reconnect only if needed.

2. Also make sure WLAN doesn't automatically scan and connect to access points.

3. If you use the RSS feed reader, in the preferences, you can set it to automatically update less often, or you can do it manually.

I hope the next version of the N800 has an ambient light sensor, because I am constantly adjusting the brightness up and down depending on where i am using it and the available lighting. My iPhone has this feature, as have most of my WinMo devices, and it really helps with power savings.
