The PR1.2 is delayed, stuff like this happens get over it.
The n900 is usable without it.
I'll repeat "The n900 is usable without it.", "The n900 is usable without it." and "The n900 is usable without it.".
I know the contact manager is crap, so is the phone app (at least it is stable) - fair enough.
I never bought the n900 on the strength of it's navigation software. Mind you now that it is free for most Nokia devices except the n900 have it - I am annoyed but not enough to care.
The n900 is a very versatile device. I use it daily for various computing stuff and rarely use my laptop now.
The browser is more than capable of runiing Facebook and most other sites - you do not need specialised apps to use Facebook or Twitter.
The n900 is supported by MeeGo. The base installation has been released and the GUI part is expected soon.
Nokia as a company is extremely bad at communicating with it's customers and will have an impact on my next buying decision.
QT is available now for the n900 and people are writing software for it - it's all good.
You are leaving because
(a) PR1.2 is not out yet (hint: it's not finished yet)
(b) No specialised apps (browser is capable of using these websites)
(c) Contact manager sucks (I agree you have a valid point)
(d) No "proper" OVI maps (hint: if it that important then you should have bought something else)
(e) Flash is laggy (hint: Flash on anything but windows is heavily resource-hungry - it's a "desktop" technology not mobile)
Generally I think your reasons are a bit "whiny".
But good luck maybe one day you will find the perfect device.
