Really? You hate Nokia with a passion, and make threats to do harm to their staff? And the two biggest haters here of course thank you for it. Where are the moderators? I understand being upset with Nokia, but threatening their staff is a bit much, don't you think?

As for the OP: Sorry you weren't able to (or didn't bother to) figure out basic shortcuts and find the apps that do what you want. For almost every issue you listed on your blog, there's already a solution. I know, because I'm using it for most of the stuff you say it can't do every day.

My contact list comes up in under a second when I type a letter on the keyboard. I have hundreds of contacts, many of which have facebook chat names that I can click from their contact card to chat with them on facebook. It's one of the many protocols supported by a plugin package available in extras.

Yes, OVI map sucks, but there's Maemo Mapper and Sygic, both of which work well and have turn-by-turn with speech if you bother to set it up. There's a thread about how to install and setup flite to work with Mapper to do voiced turn-by-turn. I use it all the time.

As for the the lack of an "official" app store, yeah that kind of sucks. But unlike Apple (and some vendor limited Android-based phones) I can install apps from other sources, and vendors can setup their own stores. Several companies have already setup their own stores (Joikuspot and Sygic being key examples), and clearly shown you don't need OVI to sell your software.

Personally, I'm quite happy with my N900 because I put in a little effort to look for solutions. If you want to just click a link and install an app that you hope does what you want (after you paid for it), well...

Have fun with Android. You may want to buy your new phone first and try it before you sell your N900. I think you'll be surprised how limiting it is, and how much you want to come back.

Good luck!
Saying thank you doesn't mean you agree with each and every word. Maybe we should ask moderators to add "Like" button as in Facebook? besides that post had other content

Ovi store SUCKS and its not something that you can say KINDA because as much as Nokia promotes openness ie we are able to install program from &.deb packages and other repos it fails to provide quality content. I really don't like Apple and their business model..... I wont use word hate just for you but they have most developed platform... Ubi Soft , Sony, Gameloft and a lot of other big names are developing for iPhone
