I won't quote all that you wrote But I do agree with most of it. I'm still with my N900 and can't see myself leaving unless a better phone with real linux comes out. Despite all the bugs and disappointments, it feels like "home" to me as a long-time Linux user. When I use non-Linux platforms I tend to find myself using programs which were ported over from Linux. Easy Chroot/Easy Debian is just icing on the N900 linux cake for me.
