Yes, totally valid reasons for being here. Though you have to admit it took you a while to mention either fact in our last discussion.
...um, thanks for the validation? You could easily have searched and seen that besides my typical go against the N900 grain banter, I'm curious about it; meanwhile I have a N810 that I still use daily and wish to make... even better. This is the place for that. Sometimes, searching, then reading is fundamental.

I just don't get why people are so up tight and screaming that Nokia isn't supporting the device when clearly they still are.
I think you're overlooking that people have been saying that Nokia is uncommunicative first. Again... that's because mainly I've been here longer I guess... because that's what I see is the problem first and foremost. Will it always be true? I hope not. As far as support, I can't comment. I just know that the communication is not as open as it should be.

I get that some people are holding off because they'd be missing features they're used to having right now.
That's called doing good research... and sticking close to the source. I'm quite guilty of that. Going after those that do so... I can't fathom why anybody would. At least they're not part of the "I PAID 2 BILLION DOLLARS FOR THIS, FIX IT NOKIA!" group.

But when people are pining for stuff never offered (like Android), and bad mouthing the device to people coming to the forum to ask a question about the phone, I just have to wonder why....
The same way that I don't get why people coming to a forum for questions to be answered are met with general disgusting remarks and ownership questions when that doesn't belong either. Neither approach is without flaw...

Back to lurking...
