I make it a point to never answer questions to people with a tone I do not like. That's all there is too it. I owe nobody here, at a public Maemo Forum any debts whatsoever.

I've never made disgusting remarks to anyone here asking questions. I've corrected people that were saying things that were patently untrue, or misleading, or representing themselves as an authority to people asking questions and giving false information. That's quite a different thing.
The constant banter about "YOU DON'T EVEN OWN A N900!!" from folks, yourself inclusive is downright disgusting especially since this is a Nokia Maemo forum, which has been around before the N900. It's all a perspective and the sense of entitlement by the newer folks that's paid no dues other than the ownership of the newer phone in a public Maemo forum that's been here for years, and honestly in an iteration that precedes the one you now know. I'm originally a member of ITT - InternetTabletTalk that got morphed into where you belong. I preced the N900 by 2 years, and 3 devices.

There's nothing patently untrue about my opinion that asking a stranger what they do/do not own only to pass judgment is not how this forum has ever been run... until now. And honestly, as one of the "old-timers" I find it disgusting and I report it each and every time I see it.

If you search and read my posts, as you seem to want me to do for you, you'll find I've answered several people's questions, quite politely, on several topics where I'm knowledgeable. I've joined in several discussions about changes and new apps, done lots of testing and feedback, and even on occasion had a discussion or two about opinions on how companies should operate. But I've never railed against a person coming into the forum and asking a question.
I've never questioned you as you've questioned others. We're just built different that way. I don't assume, I only go by what I see.

There's a far cry between answering a question and correcting (or "clarifying") an answer that's misleading or false. And even doing that once or twice generally won't get me going. You have to be quite insistingly negative and repeatedly spreading misinformation to earn my venom. Only 2 or 3 people here have gotten me to that point here.
The fact that you're likely to even "go there" on a public forum is sorta odd to me. I've never had an "adversary" on these boards. And I've gone head to head with some of the mods, some of the other, older members... and in the end. I respect them all. I'd share beers with them; despite having a different set of opinions.

I hope you get there one day. But your ability to answer where you're knowledgeable... that's friggin' awesome. Keep up the good work. There is no sarcasm in that statement.

Take care... I'm back lurking again.
