Hi,

While it's possible to replace the built in on-screen keyboard using Hildon's IME plugin system the OSK in Opera Mobile is not suitable for the task.

It's tightly integrated into the browser and also relies on fairly large pieces of infrastructure code. Thus, even if it was easy to rip it out and turn into a Hildon IME plugin you would end up with half a browser running at all times.
