With my N800 connected by USB to my desktop Windows machine, the Windows machine couldn't see the internal card. I got an error message to the effect that the internal card was in use. I finally removed the virtual memory that I had set up on the internal card, and immediately my Windows machine could see it via USB. Apparently, so long as you have virtual memory set up, the internal card is "in use."
