I would really appreciate you telling me on what do you base your claim of support being ditched as MeeGo release is coming closer.

Also, I don't know what 'support' means to you, but I would rather have the ability to run new software - OS and apps (courtesy of an open platform) than to get 'official support', whatever that is. That said, official support for N900 is not going away anyway, and MeeGo may, in fact, come officially to it as well.
