Hi there.

i'm happy with my N770 at this moment. i use it a lot with WiFi connection and it works well (especially after udpating software to 3.2005.51-13).

i've also using a sony-ericsson W800i. this one works well to, and i'm sure, this two things will be a real pair of hitech if i can connect it together.

here's what i can do :
with the N770, everything seems to work, using the tablet, surfing the internet with WiFi.
with the W800i too. this phone can surf Wap, and with Opera for Mobile i can surf the Internet very well.
(i'm in France, with a Bouygues Multimedia Access to wap/web)

the problem :
i can't pair correctly the W800 and the N770.
it seems to have been correctly Bluetooth paired, but, impossible to use the phone to access the net...
i tryed a lot a configurations.

what i think : when the 770 try to connect to the net via bluetooth, it send to the w800 come parameters that seems to be wrong. after that, the w800 cannot access the net, and i must restore the good parameters.
when you first boot the 770 it starts a wizard that helps you to give the tablet the good parameters (i think a lot of this has been included).
after that, i don't have find how to access this wizard again.
then i tryed to do this by myself.
first, i removed all configurations in bluetooth phone pairing in the phone, and in the tablet. i've also removed all Phone connection in the "connexions" control panel (i think it is naed connectivity in english but i'm not sure)
i started first to authorise bluetooth connection between the tablet and the phone. the tablet give's me a password for pairing the phone. at this stage everything is ok. but one thing seems to be strange :
the tablet ask two things to the phone : bluetooth pairing, for that i say ok, and insert the password to the phone to grand the bluetooth access to the tablet. at this time the phone sees the tablet as a computer i think.
the installation is not finished. the tablet ask to the phone to get the internet connection. i insert the password (the same as before) and say ok. at this time the phone asks me if if it should ask me eerytime for a connection or if it is ok everytime. i say ok for everytime. the icon for the 770 in the phone is now different (two squares like a bluetooth peripherial). what kind of peripherial is the tablet at this time ?

now the phone and the tablet are paired.
i can browse the phone with the file manager (with a lot of crashes but that's another problem for another topic).

now i want to surf to the internet ! why isn't the tablet using the phone embended parameters that works ????

i go the the "connexions" control panel (in english connectivity) .
and start to create a new connection.
here's the different steps i do (in french) :
- panneau de configuration
- connectivité (the panels pop up), with my prefered Wifi connection selected
- i click "connexions" button, the connection panel pops up
- i click the "nouvelle" button, here's a wizard panel that should helps me, but it isn't the same a the "first time power on wizard"
- i click "suivant" (next), a pop up comes up, and ask me for the kind of cellular connection i use with two choices : GSM/UMTS or CDMA
- i think i should use GSM/UMTS, and click the OK button
- here's the place i think that should matter with the problem,
a connection configuratio panel pops up, for configuring the connection to my phone provider service (this window is named données de paquet, with i translate to data packet...)
this window asks me for :
Nom du point d'accès (acces point name, APN ?) by default Internet
Numero d'appel (dial number, WHAT'S THIS ????) by default *99#
Nom d'utilisateur (user name), by default blank
Mot de Passe (password), default blank
and a little check box the ask the password before each connection.

here's the parameters i use :
Nom du point d'accès : mmsbouygtel.com
Numéro d'appel : *99# (i leave this like that but i don't find any information about this item...)
Nom d'utilisateur : blank
Mot de Passe : blank
and i don't check the checkbox.

this parameters correspond to the ones embended in myu phones that actually works. but i can't find any information about the Dial Number (Numéro d'appel)

i click "suivant (next)

i'm now at the end of the configuration, i can finish (Terminer) or cancel, or go back to the previous screen.
i've got another button with "Paramatres avancés" (advanced parameters)
i can use it to give Proxies configurations, IP adresses, and other like compression PPP and other check boxes.
I LEAVE THIS LIKE THAT.

after that (clicked "terminer"), i've got my new connection in the panel.

now, i set it to the connection to be used.
when i launch a web browser, gives it a URL, the connection seem to be tryed (the phone react with bluetooth, and try to connect to the web.)
but at this time i get an error, "probleme reseau".

THIS IS THE BEST THING I GET !
with this, my phone can continue to surf the web. i don't have to set the good parameters back. but sure, i can't surf the web wit the tablet with a bluetooth connection...

does someone have successfully set this connection ?
what are the parameters used ?
(please give it here, so perhaps we can understand what's happening here...)
