If you're willing to get a dual processor socket 771 motherboard (they cost ~$200 last time I checked), I have 2 (yes, two

) Quad Core Xeon processors, running at a speed of 2Ghz each... Forget i5's and i7's, when you can have make -j9.

I'll even throw in 4GB of FB-DIMMS... These things are cool running too... I used them with just a passive heatsink, no fans.
