If he don't want to be it, I'll do it through that site. Then this is the official way, yes.
Got word back that there's a chance of pushing for an official maemo.org paypal account, but it's not a cert. IMO we should go ahead with the chipin and we can always transfer it over if we get one.

Regards the bounty split, I wrote this 4 pages ago! Where were you all? heh :P
Also, we might lift a signifigant sum so how should we split the winning bounty amongst the entrants? First, second, and third place with a 50%, 30%, 20% split? Category winner prizes? Or all to the overall winner?
Some categories will have more competition than others, multimedia might only have a few whilst utilities will probably be swamped. i'd like individual category winners but would be more inclined to split the bounty amongst the top X apps in the comp.

Im a bit wary of extending the deadline too far but the end of June is just another week so it's not a biggie in my opinion. Im happy to bow to the will of the people on that one. My only fear would be seeing the momentum taken out of it by moving the start date. Id like to get everything nailed down this weekend if possible, mainly because of the following reason..

Im a bit worried about aspidites comment regarding "Shouldn't the details of the prizes have been finalized be for this thing also started?" We open ourselves to problems if the friendly spirit of the competition goes out of it. I tried setting up this comp before and it was dragging on by weeks as people love to chat good ideas but watch the months go by :P The Nokia prize was a wonderful surprise, the comp started off with my own bounty pledge and is growing through the generosity of others, and will no doubt grow throughout the competition. It started with $50, I mean.. I couldnt well split that up amongst a bunch of people or it wouldnt be much of a prize :P It's just so happened that the competition is continuing to evolve as it starts. But we do need to lock stuff down soon, and it does remind me we got to put some firm rules down on the wiki.

Definitely advertise it on the Symbian forums if we can, thats a great idea.

Let's not loose sight that we are a bunch of amateurs trying to do the right thing here, it can't all be 100% but it's moving in the right direction
